My father Sidney Levitt
My father Sidney Levitt was born in Buffalo NY in 1920. He met my mother Lilian after moving to Rochester NY and married her in 1944. My father was drafted in the US Army in 1944. In 1945 my father was send to Japan. Fortunately we dropped the Atomic bomb, Japan surrendered and my father was a member of the occupying Army. Just before he left for Japan my mother decided to have something to remember her husband and I was conceived and in 1946, at the start of what we call, "Baby Boomers", I was born. I wanted to acknowledge my father as this Museum has acknowledged my contribution to it both in money and objects to your collection. Alan Levitt
