Telling Our Story

They came from every corner of the globe and from every station in life. Tailors and peddlers. Scholars and dreamers. They came to fulfill America’s promise, investing in her their hopes and dreams, their energy and ingenuity. This is the story of Jews in America.

The National Museum of American Jewish History tells the story of more than 350 years of American Jewish history, but also invites you to share your stories with us and with the greater community. Everyone has a personal story or a family story and those stories should be heard, shared, and preserved.

Share Your Story

We encourage you to keep your story alive forever by becoming a living part of the only national museum in the country dedicated to telling the story of Jewish history here in America.

Contemporary Issues Forum

The Contemporary Issue Forum is a state-of-the-art, highly interactive space that gives visitors the opportunity to participate in real-time discussions about major issues in American and American Jewish life.  It is a living exhibition.  The walls of the forum are filled with information about various issues in contemporary life.
