I think that there is a lot of Tikkun (reparation) that has to be done. As you know, I am highlighting the entire Bible -- the five books of Moses. Finally after 5,000 years -- looking at every single space in between the words that have to be highlighted where women were left out of history. Also all the patriarchal projections that we consider our holiness. It is very much in keeping with my stance and identification as well. I guess I felt that the word dominion was a problem from the start. It comes to the dominion over the land and of the people, of women, animals etc... In a way I like to merge, I like to keep my identity, and I want to say that I am Jewish -- it is very important to me to say that I am Jewish. I could never imagine converting. I don't believe in that sort of thing. On the other hand though I sometimes get very jealous of my Buddhist friends. They don't flinch from their feeling of true oneness with the universe. | ||
