Atlanta's oldest, the Hebrew Benevolent
Congregation, was formed in April, 1867. This Reform congregation's second
synagogue building was dedicated September 12, 1902. The congregation now
occupies its third synagogue building; the one pictured was sold after the
congregation grew too large for the space. The site is now a vacant lot.
