The oldest synagogue in continuous
use in New Orleans, this building has served a Reform congregation since
1909. Built by the Jewish architect Emilé Weil on the corner of St.
Charles and General Pershing, this congregation is currently 700 families
strong. The postcard seen above, postmarked 1918, highlights the building's
monumental presence. For more information please visit: www.tourosynagogue.com.
