Temple Israel was first incorporated
in 1922. Architect Ralph M. Herr designed the building seen here in classic
Byzantine style with three copper domes. Dedicated September 13, 1925, Conservative
congregation Temple Israel is currently restoring the exterior to preserve
its original appearance.
