The Museum is located in the heart of Philadelphia’s historic district, on the corner of Fifth and Market Streets, across from Independence Mall and within view of the Liberty Bell. (No coincidence.)

VISITING HOURS
Tuesday to Friday 10:00-5:00*
Saturday & Sunday 10:00-5:30
NMAJH is closed most Mondays, including Federal holidays.
*On Wednesdays between Memorial Day and Labor Day, the Museum will stay open until 8:00 pm. Admission after 5:00 pm is pay-what-you-wish.
We are open on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President's Day, Independence Day, and Christmas Day.
We hate to turn anyone away (especially you, bubbellah*) but ticket sales and museum entrance cease 30 minutes before closing time. *sweetheart

In addition to most Mondays, we are closed on the following holidays:
Rosh Hashanah- September 5 & 6, 2013
Yom Kippur - September 14, 2013
Thanksgiving Day - November 28, 2013
New Year’s Day - January 1
Passover (first day) - March 26, 2013
The Museum also closes early (at 3 pm) on the following holiday eves:
Erev Rosh Hashanah - September 4, 2013
Erev Yom Kippur - September 13, 2013
Christmas Eve - December 24
NMAJH is open on all other Jewish holidays (except if they happen to fall on a Monday). All special holiday openings are listed above.
