The Museum is located in the heart of Philadelphia’s historic district, on the corner of Fifth and Market Streets,
across from Independence Mall and within view of the Liberty Bell.

Tuesday to Friday: 10:00am - 5:00pm*
Saturday and Sunday: 10:00am - 5:30pm
* From Memorial through Labor Days, the Museum stays open until 8:00pm on Wednesday evenings. Admission
after 5:00 is pay-what-you-wish.
* On Saturday, September 26th the Museum will be open until 8:00pm for the Papal Visit and the World Meeting of Families.
NMAJH is closed most Mondays, including Federal holidays, but we are open on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day,
Presidents' Day, Independence Day, and Christmas Day.
In addition to most Mondays, we are closed on the following holidays:
Rosh Hashanah (first day) - September 14, 2015
Yom Kippur - September 23, 2015
Thanksgiving Day - November 26, 2015
New Year’s Day - January 1, 2016
Passover (first day) - April 23, 2016
The Museum also closes early (at 3:00pm) on the following holiday eves:
Erev Rosh Hashanah - September 13, 2015
Erev Yom Kippur - September 22, 2015
Christmas Eve - December 24, 2015
Erev Passover - April 22, 2016
NMAJH is open on all other Jewish holidays (except if they happen to fall on a Monday).
