COVID-19: Health and Safety Updates

Your health is our priority.

NMAJH is temporarily closed to the public in response to COVID-19.

Like other cultural organizations, businesses, and individuals around the globe, NMAJH has been closely monitoring the evolving COVID-19 situation and working to act responsibly on the myriad information available from trusted health officials at the CDC, WHO, all levels of government, and, as a Smithsonian Affiliate, the Smithsonian Institution.

In the best interest of our staff, volunteers, visitors, and the wider community given this unprecedented public health concern, we have made the decision to close to the public temporarily.

For now, the Museum will remain closed to visitors and activities will be suspended through the end of March. We will continue to monitor the situation and reevaluate as needed, and will look forward to reopening as soon as it is safe to do so.

Our forthcoming exhibition The Evidence Room will open as soon as possible.

In the meantime, we plan to increase our online activity, and will share updates with you through email and social media.

This is a time when cultural organizations need your support more than ever, so please continue to engage with us in whatever way you can.

Thank you for your support and encouragement. Please stay healthy and safe.
