“For Alex; this book is nothing short of our love story.”
Celebrate PRIDE Month with NMAJH and New York Times best selling author, Jake Cohen. In this program, Jake will cook a selected recipe (to be announced!) from Jew-ish, his newly released and highly acclaimed cookbook. He will offer personal insights into the recipes, and the relationships and stories behind them.
About Jew-ish and Jake Cohen
In Jew-ish, Cohen reinvents the food of his Ashkenazi heritage and draws inspiration from his husband Alex’s Persian-Iraqi traditions to offer recipes that are modern, fresh, and enticing for a whole new generation of readers. Alongside the 100-plus recipes, Cohen shares a step by step guide to making shabbat and entertaining a crowd, creatively customized menus for holidays like Passover and Rosh Hashannah, as well as narrative interactions with his in-laws and parents which offer readers myriad moments to laugh and cry out loud.
